<h2>Channell Shutterbox Grade Level Box (SGLB)</h2>
<p>Additionally, Channell offers designs inspired by the below-ground shutter boxes used for utilities throughout Europe, Channell&#8217;s “Shutter Box” Series SGLB boxes provide the highest-performance standards in the industry for thermoplastic subsurface enclosures.</p>
<p>One of the major features of the boxes is the straight sidewall “I-Beam” construction that, together with the high rib design, greatly increases the cover load bearing capacity and sidewall strength. Unlike standard thermoplastic tapered boxes, the “Shutter Box” straight sidewall design allows the cover load to be supported by the complete sidewall, rather than an unsupported “tapered neck.” This feature permits the “Shutter Box” Series boxes to be used for a multitude of greenbelt and sidewalk applications. With the additional option of a polymer concrete cover and ring, the boxes exhibit a static vertical load bearing capacity up to 20,000 pounds, making them suitable for sidewalk and driveway applications.</p>
<p>A full range of unique options (patents pending) support this product, including a two-position swing-arm bracket, the universal L-Bolt™ locking feature and a Split Cover option with enclosure plug. Three sets of factory-installed threaded studs permit installation of optional hot-dipped galvanized racks, sidewall mounting brackets, and a thermoplastic swing arm assembly equipment mounting plate to accomodate a Bracket Mounted Terminal (BMT®) or fiber tap in the field.</p>
<p>Meets and is qualified to Telcordia GR-902-CORE specifications. Complies with the applicable elements of Western Underground Committee, ANSI / SCTE 77 2002.</p>

<p>The new low profile SPH1836 5 Series pedestal enclosure features Channell&#8217;s exclusive &#8220;attic system&#8221; HDC™ cover that provides superior heat dissipation performance exceeding any comparable sized enclosure currently available. The new enclosure is designed to house optical nodes and fiber splices. Optical receivers have been known to go into an &#8220;alarm mode&#8221; at ambient temperatures of 80ºF and above and require optimum heat dissipation to improve their reliability and service life. The SPH1836 5 Series enclosure is also ideal for housing any network electronics that might be susceptible to high heat failure modes. </p>
<p>The smaller, cost effective SPH1836 5 Series pedestal enclosure was designed to complement Channell&#8217;s successful deployment of its SPH2436 5 Series enclosure that has been proven effective in providing heat dissipation performance for optical nodes. <h2>Challenger Series Enclosures</h2>
<p>Similar in design to our SPH Series enclosures, Challenger Pedestal Housing (CPH) Series enclosures are currently available in six different configurations for housing passive equipment, and two configurations for active equipment.</p>
<h3>Passive Equipment Enclosures</h3>
<p>The six CPH passive equipment enclosures, CPH 911, CPH 915, CPH 920, CPH 1012, CPH 1016 and CPH 1022 feature direct-bury bases with a high rib design that do not require stakes for installation. The direct-bury pedestal bases result in a more uniform and secure installation that is less likely to lean or tilt. An optional stake mounting provision is available for joint trench or other special applications. A special self-locating cover ensures that the pedestals lock properly without requiring special alignment. The covers utilize Channell&#8217;s proven Self-Lock® security hardware and tools used on all installed Challenger pedestals.</p>

<h2>Rhino Fiber Node Cabinet</h2>
<p>The Rhino® Fiber Node Cabinet (RFN), RFN302440, is the newest addition to Channell’s Rhino Fiber/Node Series of metal enclosures. Designed for broadband network locations that require remote deployment of electronics and cable management, the cabinet is 30 inches high, 24 inches deep and 40 inches wide. It is available with vented panels on all four sides of the cabinet. The removable front and rear panels allow easy access to the node and stored fiber cable. Fully adjustable dual-rail mounting rods run horizontally in the cabinet allowing the fiber node to be securely fastened. The cabinet’s four bayonet hasps, interlocking sides and bottom rail secure the enclosure, reducing the possibility of theft of the valuable equipment enclosed. A fiber node pad and grade level vault come standard on the RFN Series.</p>

Closed-back and open-back wall boxes have cable knockouts provided in the back of the chassis frame for pre-wired drop entry. Closed-back wall boxes are resistant to bug intrusion and offer higher security against vandalism. Open-back wall boxes allow system technicians to replace damaged parts or upgrade the MDU site without interrupting customer service.</p>

<h2>Rhino II R4818</h2>
<p>The Rhino® II R4818 enclosure is an Optical Node cabinet with storage for fiber optic cables. The cabinet is 48 inches high, 18 inches deep and 30 inches wide and is designed for broadband network locations that require remote deployment of electronics and cable management. The Rhino II R4818 cabinet has similar features to those found in Channell’s full line of Rhino enclosures, including galvanized steel construction, polyester electrostatic powder paint, no welds and excellent heat dissipation. It provides mounting for an optical node, a fiber splice case and a fiber storage rack capable of storing up to 100 feet of fiber optic cable. Additional optional features include security locking options, heavy vented doors and a fan system to keep the optical node cooler.</p>

<h2>Rhino R3615</h2>
<p>The R3615 lightweight aluminum power supply enclosure is the newest addition to Channell’s complete line of Rhino fabricated metal enclosures. Similar to Channell’s R3618 enclosure, the R3615 is designed for broadband node locations supporting remote deployment of network electronics, including power supplies and batteries.</p>
<p>The all-aluminum R3615 enclosure has similar features found in our popular Rhino line. The enclosure provides an air intake scoop for the power supply fan, plus air intake and exhaust vents to assist in dissipating heat from the enclosure. The enclosure is protected with polyester electrostatic powder paint. Additional features include locking options, multiple power access and electrical options, slide-out battery shelves, a generator access door, power indicator lights, battery harnesses, a coaxial cable connector box and a tamper switch.</p>

<h2>Rhino F3018</h2>
<p>The R3018 low profile power supply enclosure meets the 10 cubic feet size profile required by some municipalities. It is designed for broadband network locations supporting remote deployment of electronics, including power supplies and batteries. The low profile R3018 enclosure has similar features found in Channell&#8217;s popular Rhino® enclosures. The R3018 provides direct side vent exhaust for the enclosure fan.</p>
<p>Air intake and exhaust vents assist in dissipating heat from the equipment. Rain-shield reverse vents keep rain away from the power supply. The enclosure is protected with polyester electrostatic powder paint. Additional features include all stainless steel hardware, security locking options, multiple power access and electrical options, slide-out battery shelves for three or six batteries, power indicator lights, battery harnesses, a coaxial cable connector box and tamper switches.</p>

<h2>Rhino R1730</h2>
<p>A new low profile metal enclosure, the R1730, is now available from Channell for use in broadband network applications where high security is a major concern. Constructed of heavy gauge galvanized steel, the Rhino enclosure is protected with polyester electrostatic powder paint. It features a pedestal mounting system that permits it to be mounted inside a GLB1730 grade level box with a lock-down system for added security.</p>
<p>The R1730 Rhino enclosure has features similar to those in Channell&#8217;s low profile SPH Series enclosures. It provides excellent cable management, security and equipment access.</p>

<p>The FiberMark1 offers an ideal solution for larger fiber capacity voice, data, and video splicing requirements to accommodate the ever increasing use of fiber optics throughout worldwide communication networks. Channell’s complete family of fiber optic splice enclosures deliver the key advantage of future expandability.</p>
<p>FiberMark1 accommodates up to seven Fiber Optic Cables utilizing time-tested heat shrink and/or serrated grommet technologies.</p>
<p>All FiberMark1 Splice Enclosures are designed in accordance with Telecordia GR-771-CORE testing requirements. The FiberMark1, currently the largest Channell fiber enclosure, can accommodate the termination of seven cables through its single oval and five round ports: three ports at 1.5” (38.1mm) diameter, two ports at 2.0” (50.8mm) diameter, and one figure eight oval port.</p>

<p>Channell’s line of network distribution fiber optic splice cases are designed to accommodate low and medium fiber counts of 12 – 96 fibers. Both “butt” and “in-line” versions are available. Modular splice tray cassettes are provided with all required installation components as factory provisional “kits.”</p>
<p>Fiber splice cases are re-enterable and modular, permitting future cables to be added as needed after initial installation. Both compact and standard sized splice tray cassettes are available that accommodate either fusion or mechanical splices and provide protected storage for excess fiber. Cable management features are provided to store excess buffer tubes and express fibers. Channell’s fiber optic closures are constructed of thermoplastic material that provides UV stabilization, cold temperature performance and chemical resistance, making them ideal for aerial, pedestal, underground and buried applications. Splice cases can accommodate central core, loose buffer tube, ribbon cable, dielectric and shielded cable for single fusion, single mechanical, mass fusion, or mass mechanical splicing. Heatshrink and/or mechanical cable sealing systems provide an airtight and watertight seal and superior cable pull-out strength. The closures are re-enterable and reusable.</p>

<p>The Mini-Rocker 10-Pair Protected Module is the only available environmentally sealed protected module on the market designed to perform to the Telcordia TR-NWT- 000975/GR-1361 specifications and UL requirements. It provides multiple benefits for copper network terminations requiring surge and lightning protection. Benefits include reduced costs, higher density profile, no corrosion, and fewer connections in building entrance and cross connect applications by eliminating the need for a separate, stand-alone 5-pin protection block.</p>
<p>The Mini-Rocker protected modules incorporate Channell’s proven Mini-Rocker sealed IDC connectors and world class gas discharge tubes (GDTs) or other required protection devices in a robust sealed assembly. This protected module system eliminates multiple connection points found in existing 5-pin protector designs, providing lower signal loss for broadband services. <h2>Ready Access Enclosure RAE400 Series</h2>
<p>The Channell Ready Access Enclosure, RAE400, is an environmentally sealed, airtight and waterproof, re-enterable enclosure for use in buried, underground or aerial installations. It can accommodate up to a 100-pr looped main cable and one or two 50-pr branch cables. </p>
<p>The RAE400 features Channell’s exclusive mechanical cable sealing grommets. This sealing technology is reliable and field-proven, with over 40 years of successful deployments worldwide. Grommets for both main &amp; branch cables are serrated, accepting a wide range of cable diameters. The enclosure is fully re-enterable, and features a lockable sealing clamp with O-ring that ensures the dome is firmly sealed to the base. </p>
<p>No encapsulation or heatshrink sleeves are required, resulting in installation material cost savings and a reduction in installation time by over 70%. Manufactured from high impact, UV resistant thermoplastic material, the RAE400 enclosure is available with two dome lengths and an optional pole/wall mounting bracket.</p>

<h2>Rocker Block External Termination Box</h2>
<p>Channell Rocker Block External Termination Boxes provide a quick, convenient and reliable method of joining Exchange/Central Office (C.O.) cable pairs to subscriber drop wires. Designed for either pole or wall mounting, Rocker Block External Termination Boxes are available in both protected or unprotected versions, with or without cable tail. Heavy-duty IDC contacts allow a wide range of copper or steel drop wires to be terminated. </p>
<p>Environmentally sealed and encapsulated rockers provide total protection against moisture and so ensure superior transmission properties. Rocker Block terminal blocks are manufactured from high quality, UV stabilized thermoplastic materials that are corrosion-proof and impact resistant. Exchange/C.O. connections of all Rocker Block enclosures are encapsulated for total environmental protection. Circuit access for testing is accomplished without the need to remove drop wires by using Test Probe 48A. This test probe clips onto the rocker allowing hands-free operation.</p>
<p>Rocker Block External Termination Boxes are rugged, heavy-duty and easy to install, requiring no special tools and will provide many years of trouble-free service. Rocker Block External Termination Boxes are available factory-tailed, or on-site connection can be wired in the field as required. </p>
<p>Each rocker contains two contact elements, one for each wire of the pair. Exchange/C.O. wires are terminated to the contacts at the back of the block and then connected to the drop wires at the front, via the rockers. Operation of the rockers requires only a standard screwdriver, or 3/8” (9.5mm) can wrench. Drop wires can be easily removed by simply raising the rocker, allowing withdrawal of the drop wire. Grommets ensure retention of sealant inside each rocker. The fast-action screws serve to raise and lower the rockers, providing consistent terminations.</p>

<p>Channell offers a line of plastic wall boxes to include Demarcation Boxes (DMB) for the home. These boxes are designed to house copper connections, splitters, ground blocks and filters as a customer interface for in-home wiring to drop facilities.
